The first 747-8 Freighter is scheduled to take off from Paine Field in Everett, Washington today at 10 Pacific Time. The 747-8 is the 15th model of venerable 747 jumbojet and will initially come in a freighter configuration with an InterContinental passenger liner up to 467 seats.

The 787’s first flight plan is Dec. 15 was to eastern Washington, but foul weather forced it west to the skies over the Strait of San Juan de Fuca. The weather in Everett is comparatively good at the moment: mid-40s, cloudy with some clearing during the next six hours.
